As Production Manager at Nova, Steve Ridgard plays a critical role in ensuring that everything we manufacture and deliver meets the high standards our trade customers rely on,  from precision-built products to on-time delivery.

Steve oversees the full production operation across the business, but his role goes far beyond the factory floor. He also manages the majority of our purchasing, negotiating directly with suppliers of profile and hardware to secure the best value without compromising on quality or service.

“It’s a price-conscious industry,” Steve explains, “but value goes beyond just the numbers. Good service and consistent quality allow us to meet deadlines and deliver a product our customers can trust, and that’s worth more than a short-term saving.”

With years of experience, Steve knows that strong supplier partnerships are key to success. Every supplier we work with is thoroughly vetted, not just on price, but on their ability to deliver reliably, maintain high manufacturing standards, and align with Nova’s commitment to customer satisfaction.

“We could go cheaper,” Steve says, “but if a supplier’s chain is weak, we can’t meet our promises and that’s non-negotiable.”
